We offer comprehensive, full-scope training in ophthalmology delivered across Eye Foundation Hospital and Eye Foundation Community Hospital, with rotations through all our branches in Nigeria. The program is conducted in line with the curricula of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) and the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College (NPMC), preparing you to qualify as a member and fellow of the relevant colleges.
Short course
Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS)
A comprehensive hands-on surgical training programme designed to improve cataract skills through theoretical learning, simulation, supervised surgical practice, and clinical exposure.
Learning outcomes
The trainee:
- Will gain some experience in outreaches as they will be involved in outreaches.
- Will learn more on all aspects of clinical diagnosis.
- Depending on skill set will perform live surgeries.
Who can apply
Applicant must be a fellow of FWACS or FMCOph or MWACS or DO or from an accredited college of surgeons or its equivalent in country of origin.
All Foreign nationals are required to obtain a temporary registration of license with the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria
