We offer comprehensive, full-scope training in ophthalmology delivered across Eye Foundation Hospital and Eye Foundation Community Hospital, with rotations through all our branches in Nigeria. The program is conducted in line with the curricula of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) and the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College (NPMC), preparing you to qualify as a member and fellow of the relevant colleges.
Short course
Phacoemulsification
An advanced cataract surgery programme focused on developing proficiency in modern phacoemulsification techniques, surgical decision-making, and management of surgical challenges.
Learning outcomes
- Be proficient in phacoemulsification.
- Know the principles of phacodynamics.
- Recognize and manage intraoperative complications.
Who can apply
Applicant must be a fellow of FWACS or FMCOph or MWACS or DO or from an accredited college of surgeons or its equivalent in country of origin.
All Foreign nationals are required to obtain a temporary registration of license with the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria
