Accessibility statement

We do not claim full Level AAA conformance. Specifically, these AAA criteria are not met:

• 1.4.9 Images of Text (No Exception) — the institutional logo contains text.
• 3.1.5 Reading Level — programme descriptions use clinical and academic terminology that cannot be reduced to lower secondary reading level without losing accuracy.
• 1.2.6 Sign Language — video content does not currently carry sign language interpretation.
• 1.4.6 Contrast (Enhanced), on faculty cards only— a faculty member’s name and affiliation sit in white on a translucent, blurred strip across their portrait. Contrast there depends on the photograph behind it: a dark portrait measures about 5.87:1, which meets Level AA, while a light one can fall to 1.66:1, which does not. Opening a card to read the short biography puts a much darker panel over the photograph: that view is measured on every build and stays above Level AA whatever the picture, though it still falls short of the enhanced 7:1. Every other text and background pair on this site is measured and enforced by automated tests. If a card is hard to read, please tell us which one and we will change the photograph.

An earlier version of this page disclosed low contrast on the home page hero, where the headline sat in white over a photograph behind a fading shade and measured about 1.52:1 at its worst point. That was fixed on 1 September 2026: a darkening now sits directly behind white lettering on every page that lays its heading over a photograph and each letter carries a soft dark edge — or, where a page uses dark lettering instead, a lightening sits behind it in the same way — and the photographs are chosen so that the text measures at least 7:1 against whatever sits behind it. An automated test measures every one of those pages against our test photographs on every change and fails the build if the treatment slips below that floor. A photograph published later is chosen to the same rule but is not measured by that test, so if a heading is hard to read, please tell us which page and we will change the picture.
